Interior Design Terms and Conditions
Work That I Do Not Complete:
- Hire or refer contractors
- Oversee contractor work
- Alter load-bearing walls
- Complete official drawings for construction
- Obtain city permits for construction
Important Terms of the Design Agreement:
- All designs are for aesthetic purposes only, not a architectural drawings
- Any changes to the design contract must be approved by me, and signed under an amendment to the contract. Any part of the contract that the client takes upon themselves to complete without the designer’s approval is still payable under the terms of the contract.
- The retainer fee, which is 20% of the project estimate is required up front before work will begin, and is non-refundable.
- Story lines, concepts, ideas, and processes seen on HGTV, DIY Network, or any other television program are not to be construed as part of my design process.
- Should the client cancel the design agreement, they will be billed for any work completed up to that point. A cancellation fee of $250 will be due upon cancellation of the contract.
- A minimum of 48 hours is required for cancellation of any scheduled consultation. Failure to do so will result in a $25 cancellation fee being added to the project bill.
- Outside of the initial design, 2 revisions will be allowed after the client has approved the current stage of work. Clients are free to change their mind for further revisions, however a $125 revision fee will be assessed after the initial complimentary revisions.
